Amaravati: TDP MLA and Sangam Dairy Chairman Dhulipalla Narendra launched a sharp attack on YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) leaders over the alleged adulterated ghee used in Tirumala Laddu. He sarcastically remarked that the “unique talent” of making ghee without basic ingredients like milk and butter belongs only to YSRCP leaders. Narendra said that despite keeping him in jail for 33 days and leveling allegations against Sangam Dairy, they could not prove a single wrongdoing. He demanded that YSRCP leaders admit their mistake and apologize to the public. He spoke to the media at the AP Assembly media point. Narendra criticized YSRCP MLC Botsa Satyanarayana for defending the adulterated ghee issue in the Legislative Council, saying that such statements were like “playing with God.” He clarified that Sangam Dairy has no connection with Vaishnavi Dairy and that Heritage Foods has no link with the Indapur company. If these companies were the same, he questioned why the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) had sent emails during the previous YSRCP government inviting them to participate in ghee supply tenders. Accusing YSRCP leaders of indulging in “fake politics,” Narendra said bringing down websites and creating morphed content had become their trademark. He recalled that attempts were made to hack Sangam Dairy servers while he was in jail, but no irregularities were found. He added that he never feared during the Congress or YSRCP regimes and has no reason to fear now. Referring to comments made by former minister Perni Nani, Narendra said it was “laughable” for him to preach morality. He stated that Sangam Dairy belongs to farmers of Guntur, while Sreeja Dairy belongs to women from Chittoor. Narendra also alleged large-scale corruption during the YSRCP government. He claimed that former Chief Minister Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy had given advertisements worth ₹307 crore to his own media organizations. He further alleged that three lakh tonnes of cement were diverted from contractors through Bharathi Cements. Narendra urged the government to review the 22 cases filed against him and withdraw them if no wrongdoing was found. Speaking about the Tirumala Laddu controversy, he said NDDB reports confirmed the presence of animal fat and vegetable fat in the ghee used for the laddus. He added that the SIT report revealed that illegal money from the adulterated ghee deal was transferred to Vijayawada (₹12.5 crore) and Chennai (₹7.5 crore). He questioned how ghee could be supplied at ₹316 when the market price of butter itself is ₹360. Narendra said Sangam Dairy had been trying to participate in TTD ghee tenders since 2020–21 and received the opportunity only after meeting all scientific and regulatory standards. He clarified that Heritage Foods never supplied ghee to TTD. Claiming that Sangam Dairy produces some of the best dairy products in South India after Amul, he challenged anyone to prove otherwise.
